Building Better Services
Building products that last!
How often do you see these cheap wendy houses or wooden structures falling apart after a couple of years?
Rot and poor planning are the culprits here. I just want to mention that cheap is not always better.
Visit this page to see all the screw-ups I’ve come across in the past.
I want you to make a good decision after leaving the website.
Think Long Term
If you are like me, someone who prefers to invest a bit more in quality products.
That are durable, good looking and doesn’t need much maintenance.
Then read further.
Let’s Do Some Math
Let’s say you are considering buying a cheap 3×6 wendy house for R18000.
Think this through…
If you thought our R28,000, 3×6 wendy house are too expensive, let’s analyse the data.
Here is the cheap option and some flaws I’ve seen:
> The T&G floor starts to rot ant the corners after a few years
> Wall studs start to rot at the bottom
> Cladding starts to bend and rot over time
> Structure starts to give in
> Nails start to pull out
> You want to hide the wendy when family and friend come over
These are just some points to keep in mind.
I’ve seen people giving away their wendy house because it looks like a shack.
If you don’t want to loose your money, you will have to use man power (at a cost) to salvage the remains and then try and sell it…
So your 18k is now down the drain.
Or You Can Invest Wise The First Time.
If I can promise you a 50 year structural guarantee, will you invest the 24k?
The flooring will be solid 18mm plywood so it will also last a very long time. We have other options available too.
The cladding on the other hand needs some discussion.
The math doesn’t lie.
So Thinking About Building It Yourself?
When you take in consideration the labor required, time spent, sourcing the material, energy usage and transport cost you would realise that our wendy house or carports are actually not expensive at all.
Raising Inflation
Let me mention inflation.
So if you are still not convinced, read this:
Say you buy the cheap wendy, you throw it away after 7 years and you want to buy a cheap wendy again, what will you pay then?
If inflation is 6% annualy, you will then need to pay much more for the same cheap wendy.
If you did the math you saw that you now spent close to 40k on a wendy houses that might also be worth nothing in several years from now.
